Richard Shaw; daha çok bilinen sahne ismiyle Bushwick Bill, 8 Aralık 1966'da Kingston, Jamaica'da doğdu. Amerikan hiphop grubu Geto Boys üyesidir.

Bushwick Bill'in en çok bilinen olayı sağ gözünü kaybetmesidir. 1991 yılında bir Mayıs gecesi Bill sarhoş, depresif ve intihara yatkın bir biçimde kız arkadaşının evine gider ve ondan kendisini vurmasını ister. Kız arkadaşı bunu reddeder ancak Bushwick Bill onu bebeğine zarar vermekle tehdit eder. Bir anlık tereddütten sonra kız arkadaşı silahı ateşler, mermi Bill'in sağ gözünü deler ve içinde sıkışır. Bill kazadan kurtulur ancak gözünü kaybetmiştir. Bushwick Bill bütün bu hikayeyi "Ever So Clear" şarkısının sözlerinde anlatmıştır ve klibinde de canlandırılmıştır. Şarkının ismi olay esnasında Bill'in zilzurna sarhoş olduğu konusunu destekliyor: Everclear. Hastanedeyken bir fotoğraf çekiliyor ve Geto Boys'un yeni albümü We Can't Be Stopped'a kapak yapılıyor. Bushwick Bill ayrıca Dr.Dre'nin The Chronic albümündeki "Stranded On Death Row" adlı parçada Kurupt, RBX, Lady of Rage ve Snoop Dogg ile beraber yer almıştı. 1998'de çıkan "No Surrender... No Retreat" adlı albümünü arkadaşı Gil Epstein'e ithaf etmiştir. Gil, Ford Bend County savcısıydı ve 1996 yılında Houston, Texas'ta vurularak öldürülmüştü.

Bill ayrıca "Who's the Man?", "Original Gangstas", "Night Vision" ve "Street Life" gibi filmlerde de oyunculuk yapmıştır.
